Baby Harris
Just a brief post to let everyone know that wee Jack is getting a baby brother! Thankfully the baby seems to healthy and well...he is very active. Ryan and I are really excited to be having another boy, hopefully the wee guys will be great friends.

Four Years later
It's Christmas Eve and we are spending a few days over at Ryan's parents house. We got a beautiful big real tree of our own this year, but because we knew we wouldn't be spending Christmas at our own apartment, we opened a couple of presents this morning, had a nice cooked breakfast, and enjoyed the tree a little more before heading off to Salem.
Portland has been pounded with massive amounts of snow this last week. It's beautiful, but...wow...they don't know what to do with snow here. If we were in Utah the snow would have been plowed away no bother and everyone would be going about like normal. But in Oregon none of the little towns are plowed AT ALL! It is a living nightmare to try and drive. Everything shuts down... work, school, church are immediately canceled. We haven't had church for the last 2 weeks. It's nuts. I swear people in Utah would be on the floor laughing at these Oregonians.
It has been nice to have Ryan home a little more though. Jack likes to look at the snow from inside the house and then go out and stand in it for a little while, but he's not real fond of being cold, so we haven't been out in it too much.
Ryan and I celebrated our four year wedding anniversary last week. We had a nice Jack-free evening together and enjoyed some Indian food. The time has flown in and we are very happy together.
In fact, we are expecting another little addition to our family come June. My due date has been given for June 16th, which is the day after Jack's birthday...ha...of course they never come on those allocated dates. Maybe the little one will come on Jack's birthday instead to spoil Jack's thunder!
We are planning on finding out the sex of the baby and will have our second ultrasound in a couple of weeks. This second pregnancy is already panning out to be a little better than the first. I am still very sick, but since I'm not teaching at elementary school this time around, I can take some medication which controls the vomiting and nausea fairly well. It isn't full-proof, but I'll take it. Unfortunately, I am already starting to show. How depressing. I guess my muscles aren't quite what they used to be. But, I can already feel the baby moving which is fun.

Jack is being entertained...so I thought I'd take a minute
We are over visiting the in-laws today and I thought since Jack has plenty of people to fuss over him I would take advantage of this quite time and write a quick post.
It's been growing colder here in Oregon and we are seeing a lot of that famous Oregon rain. I love every minute of it. I get so excited with I wake up to the sound of hard rain drops on my bedroom window....it's the Scottish Lass in me I guess. Jack and I are enjoying the quite life of Wilsonville. We go to the library a few times a week. They have a great children's section with some wonderful toys and a puppet theatre. We read books and then on Thursdays we attend story time. Tuesdays are Yoga day. Mummy gets a MAJOR workout at our wards yoga class while Jack goes to the nursery room to play. We have a girl in the ward that is a yoga instructor and teaches us in the ward once a week for free. We all takes turns providing childcare for any of the mothers that come and it is something I look forward to every week. I never knew how out of shape I was.
A few weeks ago my younger brother, John, and his wife were blessed with another baby boy. Their wee ones are only 14 months apart! They are amazing and have my admiration. The new little ones name is Issac and he came 3 weeks early. In fact my brother had to deliver him! My sister-in-law literally stood up, her water broke, and the baby just started coming out. So, my brother delivered the baby and the ambulance arrived shortly afterwards. Both Margaret and baby were totally fine, thank goodness. I wonder how Ryan would cope in that situation..haha.
My brother, Euan, is getting married to his American gal in January and so I am trying to figure out if I can get home for the wedding. It's a long shot, but we'll see if we can score any cheap tickets. I have already missed two of my siblings weddings, so I want to go really badly!
Ryan continues to enjoy his job and even got to do a deposition for the first time on Wednesday. I am so happy that he likes his work and doesn't dread going to work every day. We feel very blessed that he has any work at all during these stressful times.
We will be spending Thanksgiving with Ryan's family, of course, as they are so close. I am grateful that I don't have to make the long drive from Utah this year....very thankful.

No internet
We have now been in our new apartment for about 2 weeks and really love it. We LOVE Wilsonville....our new wee town. As stated in the title we don't have the internet in our place yet, so I occasionally come over to the clubhouse to check my email, but Jack is never patient long enough for a post...so this will be short.
So, Ryan was sworn in as an official lawyer on thursday of last week. It was a fairly short, but sweet ceremony. It still hasn't sunk in that he won't be going back to college. We have to really grow up now.
Jack got a really bad cold last week and when i took him to the doctors it turns out he has contracted baby asthma. He has an inhaler that he will only have to take for a few days and then we should be rid of the problem, but it may return when he gets older. He wasn't enjoying the inhaler at all at first, but is quite used to it now and kind of enjoys getting it.
My wee brother, Euan, who is the third oldest in my family, just got engaged to a lovely American girl from Utah. They are getting married this December and I am so excited to go back to Utah for the wedding and see some family. They might come back to live in the states again once Euan has finished his degree....I would love some of my family over here!
That's about all just now. Things are good. And we hope to start looking for a house in the next few months.

The Bar
RYAN PASSED!!!! Hooray! I am so proud of him. We are feeling very relieved and excited. He should get sworn in some time next month. We will be celebrating big time tonight.

Late pictures
A few weeks ago I finally got around to taking Jack in for some professional pictures. I wanted to get them done on his first birthday, but being the boisterous wee one that he is there were always bumps, scratches, and bruises somewhere on that wee face of his. Here are just a few from the shoot. Jack wasn't nearly as cooperative as he had been when we got the 6 month ones done, but then again he wasn't walking back then.In additional news, we are moving into our new apartment on the 10th of this month. We found a place we really like in Wilsonville. Wilsonville is really a lovely area. The whole town is so clean and it just has a very safe feel to it. We have lots of nice wee parks right by our place and good shopping too. So until we find a house, it'll do.
